The Daily Independent Newspaper, Murphysboro, IL May 26, 1930


    Andy FUTRILL was pleasantly surprised Sunday at his home south of
Murphysboro, the occasion being his seventy-seventh birthday.  Every one brought
well filled baskets and at noon a bountiful dinner was enjoyed by Messrs. and
Mesdames John FUTRILL and family, P.E. OGDEN and family, Geo HALL and family, R.
DUCKWORTH and family, Dan DOWNING, Frank SEYFERTH, Mesdames Geo. ROBERTS, Otis
BEASLEY and family, Joe PIERSON and son, Nora HALL, Emma DUCKWORTH, Wm. MAYNOR,
Dan TAYLOR, Henry ROGERS and family, and Sylvester COMTE and Earl KING.  All
departed late in the afternoon wishing Mr. Futrill many more happy birthdays.
