T. WILLMAN of Witt, Ill., is visiting her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. & Mrs. R. H. DEY. Mrs. Frank BRIDGES has returned from St. Johns Hospital, much improved in health. Harvey NOONER has returned to Granite City after spending the week here with his family. Lt. & Mrs. Charles MATHEWS and two sons are the guests of Mrs. MATHEW's parents, Mr. & Mrs. Stewart CHANDLER. Miss Colleen WILHENSON of Cape Girardeau State Teachers College is the guest of Miss Lilian GODDARD. Mrs. R. H. DEY, returned Monday from a two weeks visit with her sister, Mrs. C. H. WYATT, in Mobile, Ala. Mr. & Mrs. C. B. HINES had as their guests Sunday, Mr. & Mrs. Kenneth TRIGG, and daughter, Janet, and Mrs. John ERWOOD and daughter, Ann, of Eldorado. Mrs. WOODROM of Ashley, was the guest of her daughter, Miss Joan WOODROM, at the Delta Sigma Epsilon sorority house Sunday. Mrs. Helen BRENNAN, who teaches school in Shawneetown, spent Sunday with her mother-in-law, Mrs. Alice BRENNAN. Miss Elizabeth PICKARD, of Rankin, Ill., is the guest of Mrs. R. H. DEY while attending the Community High School banquet and Prom. Miss PICKARD is a dancer of note and gave several exhibition numbers which were much enjoyed. Mr. & Mrs. Paul YOUNG of O'Fallon, spent Sunday with Mrs. YOUNG's parents, Mr. & Mrs. Hillis BOOS, and brother-in-law an sister, Mr. & Mrs. Douglas LAWSON. Mr. & Mrs. Cecil BASS spent Sunday in Benton, the guests of their son, Jack BASS, who is a teacher in the Benton school, and their daughter, Catherine Anne, who is employed at the telephone office. Mrs. S. E. BOOMER, who has been visiting her son, Lt. George L. BOOMER, a member of the surgical staff of Toeney General hospital, Palm Springs, Calif., and her sister, Mrs. Lena RANDALL, on Ontario, has returned to her home here. Lt. Charles MATHEWS is here on a ten day furlough from the staff of the Midshipman's School of Columbia University, N.Y. Lt. MATHEWS is en route to Port Directors school in California for a three months' term before going overseas.
