Murphysboro Daily Independent May 20, 1930


Mr. & Mrs. C. R. MEFFERT returned Monday from a visit with relatives in
Frankenfurth, Mich.

Miss Anna JUNGERS was a business visitor in Murphysboro Monday.

A. B. VANCIL was a business visitor in St. Louis Tuesday.

Mr. & Mrs. George ROBINSON have returned from Chicago where Mrs. Robinsons has
been a patient in the I. C. hospital the past several weeks following an operation.

Mrs. Elizabeth McKINNEY has returned from a few weeks visit with relatives in
Canton City, Colo.  She was met in St. Louis by her daughter, Mrs. Frances
SCARLETT, and chidren, who accompanied her home.

Mr. & Mrs. C. E. BENNETT returned Monday evening from Odin where they attended
the funeral of Mrs. Bennett's sister, Mrs. HARBOLT.

Mrs. A. B. TROUPA and little son, Howard, of Princeton are the guests of her
parents, 

Mr. & Mrs. Eugene HINCHCLIFFand family.

Mr. & Mrs. R. E. GREGORY and Mr. & Mrs. Clarence BAGGOTT spent Monday evening in
DuQuoin where Mr. Gregory and Mr. Baggott attended a meeting of the I. O. O. F.
Encampment.  Others who attended the meeting were Dr. E. E. EDMONDSON, J.P.
THORNTON, J. M. ANDERSON and Eldridge CORBITT.

Dr. & Mrs. C. L. PETERSON and Rev. & Mrs. W. M. BROWN spent Tuesday at Fern CLiff.

Mr. & Mrs. Chas. BLACKWELL who have been the guests of Mr. & Mrs. F. E. HIGHT,
have returned to their home in Chicago.

Mr. & Mrs. Alvin ROSS of Chicago spent the week end with the latter's parents,
Mr. & Mrs. M. E. BATSON.
