ALLISON FUNERAL SERVICES THIS AFTERNOON (Well Known Man Died Saturday Following Short Illness) Frank A. ALLISON, life-long resident of Murphysboro, died Saturday, April 16, at 2 P.M. at the age of 76, in St. Andrews hospital. Mr. ALLISON suffered a stroke several days ago and was taken to St. Andrew's hospital. He was born in Hazelhurst, Mississippi in 1862, and came to Murphysboro in 1864. He was an engineer on the Mobile and Ohio railroad and had had the distinction of being one of the oldest employees of the company here. His wife preceded him in death in 1924. Surviving relatives are two sisters, who reside in Birmingham, Alabama, and a brother, Ralph ALLISON, Murphysboro. He had been a member of the Masonic lodge for fifty years. Funeral services were conducted this afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Masonic Temple with the Rev. BOATMAN in charge, and interment was in Tower Grove cemetery.
