Died March 19, in cyclone at M & O R. R. shops, Murphysboro, Ill. Death came in a short time after being taken from the ruins and relieved him of all his pain. He came to Murphysboro, May 6, 1916, as machinist for the M & O. United in marriage to Miss Grace DECKER, second daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Clinton DECKER of 1934 Walnut St., Murphysboro Ill., Sept. 26, 1918. Two daughters were born to this union, Roxane, aged 5 years, Jacqueline, aged 3 years. Besides the wife and two children in Murphysboro, he is survived by his father and mother and four brothers in Kankakee, Ill., and one sister in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Mr. BJICK was a member of the Presbyterian church of this city, and a member of the Machinists Local 141, and the Elks Lodge 572. Funeral services were held from the home of W. G. SHAW at 1931 Pine street, Rev. LLOYD of the Presbyterian church had charge of the services. Mr. BJICK was a young man who had the respect of all who knew him and loved by the ones that knew him best. He died as he lived, quietly doing his duty to God and fellow men. His life, short in years, but his work well done in God's sight.
