Taken from the Raleigh Register, Nov. 2, 1963 MATHIS FUNERAL PLANS NOT READY Funeral arrangements are incomplete for Calvin Henry Mathis, 90, of daniels, who died in his sleep Wednesday night ollowing a long illness. Born Dec. 29, 1874 in Grand Tower, IL, he was the son of the late Henry and Pollie Lance Mathis, he was a member of the Methodist Church and a retired coal miner His wife Molly Mathis proceeded him in death in 1952. Survivors include three sons, Steve of Daniels, George of Louisville, Co., and John of Boulder, Co, seven grand-children and 10 great-grandchildren .
