HARSHA PASSES AWAY Mrs. Maggie HARSHA, wife of Mike Harsha of Vergennes, died at their home at 9:30 o’clock Saturday night, March 1, aged 61 years, 6 months and 13 days. Mrs. Harsha had been in poor health for some time and was bedfast the last four weeks. Since returning home from St. Andrew’s hospital two weeks agao Mrs. Harsha has been nursed by Mrs. Chas CARBAUGH of Murphysboro. She was born in Illinois August 18, 1862, and has been a resident of Vergennes the past 35 years, during which time she proved to be a warm hearted friend and neighbor, a loving mother and wife, devoted to her home and family, and a devout Christian woman. She was a member of the Lutheran Church and the ladies’ aid society of that church. She leaves her husband, one daughter and four sons. Mrs. Katy SNIDER, A. L. HARSHA, Theodore, Walter and Ernest HARSHA, all of Vergennes; one brother, Louis YOUNG of Pitcher, Okla., and two sisters, Mrs. Mary SCHAEFER and Mrs. Katie ZOTTMAN, both of Belleville. The funeral takes place Tuesday afternoon with services at the Vergennes M. E. Church at 2 o’clock, conducted by the Methodist pastor assisted by the United Brethern pastor. Interment will be in Parrish Cemetery. In order to accommodate Murphysboro friends desiring to attend the funeral, Illinois Central train No. 202 leaving Murphysboro at 1:38 o’clock in the afternoon will stop at Vergennes to let off passengers, and train 201 due at Murphysboro at 4:03 in the afternoon will stop at Vergennes to pick up passengers returning to Murphysboro.
