N. ROBESON, St. Louis. Mrs. NEAL’s maiden name was Catherine DODGE. She was born in Philadelphia, PA, May 30, 1816, and at the time of her death, was nearly 81 years of age. She leaves five children to mourn her death. They are Mmes. J. N. ROBESON of St. Louis; Kate KILPATRICK, and Mary ALLISON, of Murphysboro. Messrs. Ben NEAL of Dallas, Texas, and Will NEAL of Nashville, Tennessee. Her husband Benjamin Rush NEAL, Sr. died thirty-two years ago. Mrs. NEAL made her home with her daughter, Mrs. KILPATRICK, in Murphysboro. She had been in bad health for some time and went to St. Louis a fortnight ago in hope of improving. Mrs. NEAL lived a long and useful life and her death casts a dark shadow of sorrow over a large number of people who knew the good old lady during her life time. For many years she was a consistent member of the Methodist Episcopal church, and her entire life was that of a Christian. Her residence in Carbondale dates back a quarter of a century ago.
