CORNETT were married Saturday at the Baptist Church of Dowell. The ceremony was solemnized at 7 p.m. with the Rev. N. D. STORY, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Elkville, reading the single ring ceremony. The church was beautifully decorated with spring flowers. Preceding the ceremony Miss Jerry AKIN and Larry AKIN sang "Always" and Mrs. Bert AKIN sang "I Love You Truly" accompanied at the piano by Mrs. Alex DUDAS. The bridal party entered to the strains of the Wedding March from Lohengrin as the processional. They took their places at the altar and the bride entered with her father, Sollie MORGAN, who gave her in marriage. The bride wore a street length dress of blue with a blue hat and white accessories. She carried a white Bible with white satin streamers. Her corsage was of white gladiolas and snapdragons. Her only jewelry was a strand of pearls, a gift from the bridegroom. Miss Naomi MORGAN, sister of the bride, was the bride's only attendant. She wore a street length dress of pink with white accessories and a corsage of blue daisies. The bridegroom's only attendant was Delmar DOERR of Murphysboro. The ushers were Jerry DEGENHARDT, nephew of the bride, and Jerry WILLIAMS, cousin of the bridegroom. Mrs. CORNETT is the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Sollie MORGAN of Dowell, Illinois. She was graduated from Elkville High School and was formerly employed at the Ford Motor Company in Carbondale. Mr. CORNETT is the son of Ota M. CORNETT of Vergennes, Illinois. He attended the Vergennes Community High School and is employed at the Twin County Service Company. Following the wedding, a reception was given at the home of the bride's parents. The many lovely gifts received by the newly wedded couple were on display at the reception.
