England minor of Campbell England State of Illinois Jefferson County On this 24th day of July 1895 personally appeared before me a Notary Public in and for the County and State aforesaid. Henry E. Rogers aged 43 years who being duly sworn according to law makes this following declaration in order to obtain the pension provided by act of Congress approved June 27th 1890; That he is the legal guardian of Charles T. England legitimate child of Campbell England who was enlisted on the 5th day of August 1862 as wagoner or teamster in Company E 80 Ills Inf and served at least (90) ninety days, in the war of the rebellion in the service of the United States who was honorably discharged June 10, 1865 and died on the 29th day of January 1888. That he left Caroline England a widow surviving him, and that his widow Caroline England was a pensioner of the United States Certificate No. 299.207. That said Caroline England died on the 8th day of July 1895. That the names and dates of birth of all surviving children of the soldier under sixteen years of age are as follows. Charles T. England born November 7th 1880 That the mother was married under the name of Caroline Parsley there being no legal barrier to such marriage. That the soldier has not been employed in the military or naval- service of the United States otherwise than as stated above. That declarant hereby appoints James B. Logan of Mount Vernon Ills his true and lawful attorney to prosecute this claim and to receive a fee of $10. That his Post Office address is Mount Vernon Ills Henry E. Rogers Calvin Cooper John Carlisle Also personally appeared Calvin Cooper residing at Mount Vernon Ills and John Carlisle residing at Mount Vernon Ills, persons whom I certify to be respectable wand entitled to credit and who being duly sworn say that they were present and saw Henry E. Rogers the claimant sign his name to the foregoing declaration: that they have every reason to believe from personal knowledge that he is the identical person represents himself to be: ad that they have no interest in the prosecution of this claim. England Widow Ctf 299.207 Filed by James B. Logan Mount Vernon, Ill Declaration for Widow's Pension Act of June 27, 1890 State of Illinois Jefferson County } On this 3rd day of October, A. D. one thousand eight hundred and ninety - ___, personally appeared before me, a Notary Public of the City of Mt. Vernon within and for the county and State of the aforesaid Mrs. Caroline England, aged 50 years, a resident of the town of Pendleton, county of Jefferson, State of Illinois, who being duly sworn according to law, declares that she is the widow of Campbell England, who enlisted under the name of Campbell England, at Mt. Vernon, Ill, on the 5th day of August A. D. 1862, in Company "E" 80th Regt Ill Inf Vols and served at least ninety days in the late War of the Rebellion, in the service of the United States; who was HONORABLY DISCHARGED thereupon, and died on Jany 29th 1888. That she was married under the name of Caroline Pasly, to said Campbell England, on the 20th day of March 1872, by Thomas Tennison M. G. at Jefferson Co. Ill, there being no legal barrier to said marriage. She had not but soldier had been married - his wife Nancy C. died July 3, 1867 (If there was a former marriage of claimant or her husband, state it here and how dissolved.) That she has not remarried since the death of the said Campbell England. That she is without other means of support than her daily labor. That names and dates of birth of all the children now living under sixteen years of age of the soldier are as follows: William, born March 6, 1875 Hattie M., born July 22, 1877 Charles T., born Nov 7, 1880 That she has heretofore applied for a pension and the number of her former application is No. 399.995. That she makes this declaration for the purpose of begin placed on the pension roll of the United States under the provisions of the Act of June 27, 1890. Sept 30 1889 Respectfully returned to the Commissioner of Pensions Campbell England teamster was enrolled on the 5th day of August 1862, at Mt Vernon Ill, in Co. E 80 Regiment of Ill Volunteers to serve three years, or during the war, and mustered into service as a teamster on the _______ day of ________________, 186 , at ______________. On the Muster Rolls of Co. E of that Regiment for the months from Enrollment to Feb 24, 1863, he is reported present; June 30/63 (4 mos muster) absent left sick at Camp Heiman KY, May 1 63 & so home to Oct 31 63. Subsequent Rolls to June 30 64, present ; July & Aug 64, abs Dec 31, 64. Feb 28/65 Present; Apr 30/65 same . Mustered out with co June 10, 1865 at Camp Harker, Tenn No further evidence of Disability By authority of the Secretary of War F. C. Amsent She hereby appoints James M. Pace, of Mt. Vernon, State of Illinois, her true and lawful attorney to prosecute her claim and receive a fee of $1000. That her post-office address is Mt.
