Mount Vernon, Ill., Nov. 20.

A deplorable accident occurred here this afternoon. Willie Pease, a bright, 
intelligent, and only son of Frank Pease, Esq., of his city, while playing 
about the house, fell down in a fit. In falling his neck struck something, 
dislocating the spinal column. All attempts at resuscitating failed, and the 
little fellow breathed his last in twenty minutes from the time he fell.
