Vernon Register News, July 30, 1941 Mrs. Daisy Ore Dies Last Night; Rites Thursday. Mrs. Daisy B. Ore, wife of Robert F. Ore, died at 7:15 o’clock last night at her home, 1204 Casey avenue, at the age of 57 years, six months and 14 days. Funeral services, conducted by the Reverend M. A. Souers, will be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at Myers Chapel. Burial will follow in Sursa cemetery. The body will remain at Myers Chapel, where friends may call at any time up to the funeral hour. Mrs. Ore had been a resident of this city for the past 35 years. She was born January 15, 1884 in Menard county, Illinois, the daughter of Ephraim H. McNabb and Fannie J. Tackett McNabb. On October 4, 1903 she was united in marriage with Robert F. Ore who survives. Besides her husband, she is survived by one son, Carl Ore of Harvey, Ill.; two brothers, Edward E. McNabb of Champaign and Homer McNabb of St. Albens, W. Va.; two sisters, Mrs. Robert Winder of Mt. Vernon and Mrs. Thomas Cullens of McLeansboro; and two grandchildren.
