Obituary, April 15, 1971 from papers of Juanita HESTER Kelley. Olin O. HESTER, 75, of Waltonville, died at 1:00 p.m. yesterday at St. Lukes Hospital, St. Louis, MO. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at the Fry Funeral Chapel in Waltonville, Rev. Gene Morgan officiating. Burial will be in Knob Prairie Cemetary. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4:00 p.m. Saturday. Mr. HESTER was born in Waltonville on August 27, 1895, the son of Frank P. and Susan (BEAN) HESTER. He was married on August 23, 1915 in Mt. Vernon to Iva MANNEN, who survives. He was a retired railroad agent who served for 46 years with the CB&Q railroad. In addition to his wife he is survived by five sons, Clyde of Mt. Vernon, Frank of Joliet, Glen of Phoenix, AZ, Tom of Waltonville and James of Glenburnie, MD; on daughter Mrs. Jack (Suzanna) HORTON of Wood River; 17 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren; on brother Ralph Hester, Richmond CA; and four sisters, Mrs. Marion DANNER of Mt. Vernon, Mrs. Hazel LEWIS of Toledo OH, Mrs. Faye NORRIS of Waltonville, and Mrs. Margaret DEES of Waltonville. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one son Donald.
