Obit Thursday, January 17, 1963
Brighton Edward Franklin. 87. a retired farmer, died at 12:40 p.m.
Wednesday at the Green Lawn Nursing Home in Jerseyville where he had
been a patient one month.
Born Nov. 25, 1875 at Grafton he was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs.
Edward Franklin. He was married to the late Miss Lena Meyer. Mr.
Franklin retired in 1946 and resided with a granddaughter Marie, in
Brighton.
Survivors include three sons: Gus Franklin of Godfrey, George Franklin
of Dorsey, and Edwin Franklin of Brighton; and 12 grandchildren.
The body is at Warner Funeral Home in Brighton where friends may call
after noon Friday. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at
the Faith Lutheran Church of Godfrey, conducted by the Rev. Paul
Schroeder.
Burial will be in the New Douglas Cemetery.
