Most of her married life was spent near Union Center, but after the death of the husband March 13, 1907, she moved to New Mexico where she home-steaded a tract of land and improved it. She worked there and was happy until ill health made it impossible for her to live there, so nearly three years ago she came to the homes of her daughters to be cared for. She never regained strength and near the last suffered much, but was always patient, kind and thoughtful for others. Death came peacefully as tho she fell asleep.
