Obituary of Mrs Rosetta C ROADY, Jersey County, Illinois Contributed for use in the USGenWeb Archives Copyright 1999 Delores Andrews Coleman Roady Funeral Rites Held at Local Church Funeral services were held at two o' clock Tuesday afternoon, November 13, for Mrs. Rosetta C. Roady of Wood River, whose death occurred at 10 o' clock Sunday morning at the Madison County Sanitarium in Edwardsville where she had been a patient for almost three months, The rites were conducted at the Church of Christ in Jerseyville, by Mr. Paul Hughey of Wood River, and interment was in the Rosedale Cemetery. Mrs. Roady was born in Rosedale, April 17, 1883, a daughter of the late Charles and Mary Grace Franklin Franz. Her age at the time of death was seventy-three years. The decedent is survived by two sons, Raymond Roady of Kane and Pearl Roady of Granite City; two daughters, Mrs. Rosetta Cato of Wood River and Mrs. Florence Watson of Brighton; sixteen grand children; eight grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Frank Downs of Jerseyville. Her husband Solomon Roady and one son, Solomon, preceded her in death.
