Obituary of William E MILES, Jersey County, Illinois Contributed for use in the USGenWeb Archives Copyright 1999 Delores Coleman William E. Miles of Rosedale Died Suddenly Monday. April 4, 1960 William Elzreth Miles, sixty-two year old Rosedale carpenter, died suddenly Monday evening, April 4, at 10:10 o'clock at his home. An inquisition was conducted Tuesday by Coroner Rodney C. Jacoby and death was attributed to natural causes. Mr. Miles had suffered from a heat ailment for sometime. Friends called at Jacoby Brothers Funeral Home services are being held this (Thursday) afternoon at two at two o' clock at the Rosedale Methodist Church with Rev. Jack Tharpe of East St. Louis, pastor of the Church, officiation. Interment will be in the Rosedale Cemetery. The decedent was a son of the late John and Rose Green Miles and was born in Jersey County on June 9, 1897. His age at the time of death was sixty-two years, nine months and twenty-five days. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lela Mae Miles of Rosedale, two daughters, Mrs. James Pickell of East Alton and Mrs,.
