    Dubuque Times-Journal, October 16, 1925

    Rev. Jasper Leroy Everton, pastor of the Universalist church in Stockton,
passed away after a long illness. Surviving him are his widow, formerly Rev.
Eliza Drake Curtis, and his adopted daughter, Mrs. Myrtle Wayland of Chicago.
For many years Rev. and Mrs. Everton labored as missionaries in North Carolina
and other states, and came here a short time ago. Interment was made in the
Stockton cemetery.
