Letter and notarized Quit Claim deed in possession on gg-granddaughter Mara Harris Letter Karnak IL Nov. 22 1923 Mrs. Amanda B. Carter Dear Madam; I am enclosing you a Quit claim deed for you to have all the Heirs of Mr. J. H. Carter (Deceased) to sign their right to you, to be acknowledge before a Notary Public. As to several conversations we have had I find by running the records that this land has been sold for taxes few years ago and also the drainage taxes. I also find that this tract is based on tax title when purchased by Mr. Carter, and if the heirs would bring ejectment case, they would have to prove good title, and would take time and money. So I believe I can if you secure Quit Claim Deed I can help you realize at lease two to three hundred dollars for you. You will not be out any money and the longer you wait to have this straightened up, the harder would be to secure this amount. I am only making this suggestion to you as their is a chance of getting something out of this property, much better than to let it go by default. Yours Truly, J. E.
