Elgin 19 Feb 1921
Obituary Elgin, Illinois - Mrs. Hester A. Goodwin - Mrs. Hester A. Goodwin 
died yesterday afternoon following a long illness. She was born in Syracuse, 
N.Y. on December 1, 1853 and came to Elgin when a child. In 1875 she was 
married to V.C. Goodwin. She was a member of the First Baptist church, the 
W.C.T.U. Woman's Relief Corps and Rebekah lodge. She is survived by her 
husband, three daughters, Mrs. Carrie Kern of this city, Mrs. Mertie Robinson 
of Flint, Mich., and Mrs. Harriet Luther of Denver; one sister Mrs. Elizabeth 
Hunter of Elgin, one brother Andrew Robinson of Montana, and seven 
grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Burial services will be in Bluff City cemetery following services tomorrow at 
2 o'clock at the Norris chapel.
