BEAUPRE, PIONEER ST. ANNE GARAGEMAN, RETIRES FROM BUSINESS LEAVES TO SPEND WINTER IN FLORIDA: SONS RUN BUSINESS After a lifetime in the business in business in St. Anne, Mr. Ed. Beaupre, founder of Beaupre and Sons, Chevrolet dealers, has retired, and with Mrs. Beaupre and their son Maynard, left January 4 for Miami, Fla., where they will spend the winter. Baron and Orland Beaupre, Mr. Beaupre's sons, purchased the business from him on the first of the year and will continue to conduct the business on Station Street under the same name of Beaupre and Sons. Mr. Beaupre was one of the pioneer automobile dealers and garagemen in St. Anne. Before going into the automobile business, he conducted a livery stable on Chicago Avenue for many years. Baron and Orland Beaupre both have been associated with their father for several years and are well qualified to step into their father's shoes in the management of the business. ____________________________ Obituary: Edward Beaupre, 64, St. Anne auto dealer and life long resident of that community, died at 1:30 o'clock this morning following three weeks illness. He was the oldest Chevrolet dealer in Illinois, having been in the garage business since 1903. Mr. Beaupre retired from active management of the firm in 1939 and since that time his sons Baron and Orland have conducted the garage. Funeral services will be held at 10 o'clock Friday morning from St. Anne Catholic Church with burial in the church cemetery. Born October. 1, 1878, in St. Anne, the son of Mr. and Mrs Alfred Beaupre, he was married April 2, 1902, to Eva Baron who survives with a daughter Mrs. Vernette Schwarz of Chicago, the sons named above, and Seaman 2nd Class Maynard Beaupre of the Navy, 10 grandchildren, brothers Victor of St. Anne, Louis of Kankakee, sisters Mrs. Arthemise La Plante of Kankakee and Mrs. Fred Trudeau of St. Anne. Four children preceded him in death. The deceased was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Modern Woodsmen and Holy Name Society. Members of the latter group will meet at 8:30 o'clock Thursday evening to recite the rosary. Friends May call at the residence Thursday afternoon and until the time of the services.
