Hansen, Sylvia 

Sylvia Hansen -- Watseka 
Private graveside services for Sylvia Hansen, 94, of Watseka, will be held 
Wednesday at Prairie Dell Cemetery in Watseka. Arrangements are by Segur-Knapp 
Funeral Home in Watseka. She died Sunday (April 30, 2006) at Rosewood Nursing 
Home in Joliet. 

Mrs. Hansen was born Jan. 19, 1912, in Morgan Park, the daughter of Edwin and 
Phoebe Comyns Daniels. Her husband, Thorvald Hansen, whom she married April 
18, 1941, died in January 1979. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, 
where she played the piano for many years and was active in the Ruth Prayer 
Circle. She played cello for the Iroquois Strings and was a member of the 
Sunshine Club. 

Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Phoebe and Thomas Selby of Crest 
Hill; one son and daughter-in-law, Thor and Brookie Hansen of Streamwood; two 
grandchildren, Aaron (Dawn) Selby, Justin (Taisha) Selby; and two great-
grandchildren. 
Two brothers, Norman and Charles Daniels, are deceased.
