Attridge, 45, of 1255 Ridgewood dr., Highland Park, a former librarian, was struck and killed by a Chicago bound train yesterday while crossing the tracks at the Northwestern depot in Highland Park. Highland Park Policeman, David Dalziel, said she apparently left the station and tried to walk across the tracks, about 400 feet south of the Central av. crossing to wait for a train on the other side. She was planning to visit a niece, Mrs. Hester Peterson, of 230 Prospect av., Lake Bluff. She was hit by a Milwaukee to Chicago train. The engineer, John J. Chapman, 2529 N. Kildare av., Chicago, said she gave no sign of hearing the train whistle. The train does not stop at the depot. Miss Attridge had been a librarian in Washington, D.C.
