Bingham, Jr. 26 years old, brother of Frank A. Bingham, 34 North Sheridan road, who is employed at the Chicago Coler Company and known as one of the best divers and swimmers of this section, were surprise today to hear of his sudden death at Pasadena, California. George Bingham had been a government patient at the hospital there, having contracted tuberculosis while at Brest, France in the service of his country. It was believed that he was recovering rapidly, having gained 40 pounds in his stay there and it was not util today that it was known that he died. F. A. Bingham received a telegram two days ago stating that George had contracted flu, and today received a telegram stating that the young man had passed away. George Bingham had been stationed at Great Lakes in 1917 and later became a radio operation on the U.S.S. McCaulla. He was well known in Lake County having been graduated from the Fox Lake school and living here for a long time. With George at the time of his death was another brother, Richard, been gassed twice in France. The latter recovering from his illness.
