Bittler Dies Following 6 Weeks Illness Suffered serious operation 5 1-2 weeks ago; continued to grow worse Hold Funeral Tomorrow Mrs. Hanora Louisa Bittler of 324 South Sheridan road, wife of Adolph Bittler, died Saturday afternoon at 3:05 o'clock at Victory Memorial hospital. Mrs. Bittler had lived in Waukegan nearly all her life and death brings sadness to a wide circle of friends. Death of Mrs. Bittler followed an illness of six weeks. Five and a half weeks ago she was removed to the hospital where an extremely serious operation was performed. She failed to rally and her condition continued to grow worse. Mrs. Bittler, daughter of the late Mrs. and Mrs. Daniel Pike, was born in Warren, Ill., on September 30, 1868. She would have been 59 years old had she lived until next September. She came to Waukegan as a small child and had lived here every since. Her first husband, Thomas H. Traynor, died several years ago. On april 28, 1918 she married Mr. Bittler. Besides her husband she leaves two daughters and a son; Mrs. Marion Recktenwald, Mrs. Lillian Lux and Edwin Traynor, all of Waukegan. Mrs. Bittler's mother died two years ago, her father having died several years previously. For a number of years, Mrs. Bittler had been an active member of the Lady Maccabees and the members of this organization are planning to attend the funeral in a body. Funeral Tuesday morning at 9 o'clock at St. Joseph's church, Rev. Mescher officiating. Interment in St. Mary's cemetery.
