Word reached Kenosha this morning of the death of Mrs. Ann Rafferty Carney, aged 86, the widow of the late Miles Carney, at her home in the town of Antioch, Illinois, after a long illness from the weaknesses due to her advanced age. The deceased several years ago had been a resident of Kenosha and in recent years had been a frequent visitor here. The news of her death came as a personal sorrow to a large circle of friends here. Surviving the deceased are five sons and two daughters: James Carney of Kenosha; Peter William, John and Thomas Carney of Antioch; Mrs. Frank Dunn of Antioch and Mrs. Herbert Sheehan of Rice Lake, Illinois. The funeral services will be held Thursday morning at ten thirty at the St. Mary’s church in Antioch with interment following in the family plot in the St. Patrick’s cemetery at Rosecrans, Illinois.
