GEORGE CORNELL

Mrs. G. B. Orcutt received a telegram Monday afternoon which conveyed the news 
that her brother George Cornell, passed away at his home in Gurnee, Illinois, 
Monday morning, May 6. Mr. Cornell was about 73 years old, was a Civil War 
veteran and had been in poor health for a long time. In 1869 he was united in 
marriage to Miss Emma Scarborough, who passed away several months ago. Mr. 
Cornell resided in Maquoketa several years in his younger days.
