Mrs. Courson First of Family To Pass To Great Beyond

Mother of Ten Living Children and Last of Old Metz Family Died Yesterday at 
Daughter's

Mrs. Courson, the last of the family of Metz and the first to pass away in her 
own immediate family died yesterday afternoon near 2 o'clock at the home of her 
daughter, Mrs. Bessie Samuels, at 468 North Sheridan Road.

Mrs. Courson was 61 years old, and died of a lingering illness that she has 
suffered all summer.

She was the mother of ten children, all of whom, with her husband are survivors.  
Mrs. Bessie Samuels, Mrs. Emma Jackaway, Mrs. Eliza Schwarm, Mrs. Mary Quick and 
Mrs. Charles Stripe, Jeff Courson, the engineer at the water works , Adam, 
Denver, the second engineer at the water works, Austin and George.  

The funeral will be held at 2 o'clock from the house; interment in Oakwood 
Cemetery.
