CUMMINGS PNEUMONIA VICTIM DIED ON SATURDAY Former Well Known Man, High School Graduate and Manual Training Teacher Waukegan people were surprised to hear Sunday that Charles Cummings, a former well-known Waukegan resident, had died Saturday evening at 6 o'clock at his home in Chicago, 1232 N Karlow ave. He had been sick but a few days with pneumonia. Mr. Cummings was a well-known Waukegan man for many years, his father, C.B. Cummings, living now at Beach, north of Waukegan, where a sister also resides. Mr. Cummings was 51 years of age and his wife was formerly Lula Dewey, a Waukegan young woman. She was a sister of the late Mrs. Cal Kucker of West street and Grand avenue. For many years Mr. Cummings had been a manual training teacher in the John Marshall High School, Chicago. He was a man who weigh over 300 pounds and accordingly when he was stricken with pneumonia it was feared that his chances were not as good as if he were a lighter man. Mr. Cummings was a graduate of the Waukegan High School being in the class with Mrs. R. D. Wyan and other well known Waukegan people. Funeral from the house Tuesday, the remains to be brought to Waukegan at noon for interment in the family lot in Oakwood. Carriages will be at the 12:55 train to take any who wish to go to the cemetery.
