Flagler, 80 years old and the oldest member of Lincoln post, Grand Army of the Republic, of Butte, died yesterday afternoon at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Thomas Bennetts, 508 West Granite street. He had been in Butte for three years, coming to the mining city from Chicago, where he was a member of Thomas post, No. 5. Mr. Flagler served through the civil war with the Ninety-second Illinois regiment, enlisting at the age of 25. He was in many engagements, among them the battles of Resaca, Kenesaw mountain, Peach Tree creek and at Atlanta. He was wounded at Peach Tree creek and again at Atlanta. Mr. Flagler is survived by five children, Louis B. Flagler, Mrs. Thomas Bennetts and Mrs. Joe Morris of Butte and Leonard M. and Legrande Flagler of Chicago. Funeral services will be held in Butte by the Grand Army. The body will be taken to Mr. Flagler's old home, Libertyville, Illinois for burial.
