Double funeral services for Charles Haas, 68, and his wife, Maude, 63, of 3314 
Garnett av., Zion, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the chapel at 3012 Sheridan 
rd., Zion. They died within minutes of each other Tuesday morning in Zion 
Community hospital. Mrs. Haas had suffered a heart or asthmatic attack and her 
husband went to the hospital with her. When he was told she was dying, he 
collapsed and succumbed. He was a retired North Shore line conductor. The couple 
leave five sons, William, Harold, Edward, Richard, and Walford, and 13 
grandchildren.
