Hinkle, 22, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ila E. Hinkle, of 3508 Rock Parkway, Waukegan, was killed in Viet Nam two weeks before his tour of duty was to have ended, the Defense Department said yesterday. Specialist Hinkle, a graduate of Zion-Benton High School, entered the service in June, 1970, and was sent to Viet Nam on Nov. 5, 1970. He was killed Oct. 21. His tour of duty had been scheduled to end last Friday. He is survived by his parents; two sisters, Mrs. Chris Stanton and Tina; a brother, Larry; and his grandmother, Mrs. Frieda Morris. Services will be held tomorrow at 10 a.m. in the chapel at 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion.
