Chicago Tribune - Feburary 21, 1914
Mrs. Ellen Jenkinson, 105 years old, died at her home at Waukegan last night of
old age.  She was born in Ireland and came to this country sixty-one years ago
and settled in Waukegan.  She came from Brooklyn to Chicago by rail and went to
Chicago to Waukegan by boat, there being no railroad between the cities at that
time.  She was the widow of John Jenkinson, who died a number of years ago.
