Mrs. Emma Kelly Dies at Home in Waukegan


Mrs. Emma Kelly lifelong resident of this section of Lake county, died in the
Victory Memorial hospital at 5:30 o'clock Thursday afternoon following a stroke
of paralysis.  The deceased was 54 years yeas of age, and has been ailing for
months, presumably from heart trouble.

Born on the farm of her father, Michael Mines, long prominent land owner on the
western edge of Lake Bluff, she went to Waukegan after her marriage to Anthony
Kelly, nearly 30 years ago.  She made her home for the greater part of that time
at 129 North Sheridan Road.  Her husband died about 17 years ago.

Through her pleasant disposition and regard for the welfare of others, she
formed a large circle of friends in the city and county who will be sorrowed by
her death.
