The Independent Register, Libertyville - November 29, 1979
John MacGuffin, Sr., 56, formerly of Libertyville, died Nov. 17 in LaGrange.  

He was born Sept. 23, 1923 in Libertyville and had lived in Claredon Hills.  He
was the son of the late Paul MacGuffin, former mayor of Libertyville.

Survivors include his widow, Phyllis; a daughter; two sons; his mother, Mabel;
and a sister.  Memorial services were held Nov. 23 in Hinsdale.

Buried in Lakeside Cemetery, Libertyville, Lake County, Illinois
