Lake County Independent    March 30, 1900
Mrs. T. C. Mitchell

Last week Thursday afternoon Mrs. T. C. Mitchell died at the home of her son, 
Frank Mitchell, in the town of Vernon.  Mrs. Mitchell came to Lake county in 1858 
and has lived on the homestead since that time.  Death resulted from an accident 
suffered by the deceased six weeks ago, when she fell and broke her hip.  She was 
eighty-five years of age, and her recovery was not to be.
