Ralph S. Nelsen, Waukegan Legion Chief, Dead at 40

Ralph S. Nelsen, 40 years old, who was active in American Legion and fraternal 
affairs in Waukegan, did there yesterday in the Victory Memorial Hospital 
following an operation for appendicitis.  He was commander of Homer Dahringer post 
of the American Legion.  He was commercial agent of the Illinois Bell Telephone in 
the city.  His mother, Mrs. Caroline Nelsen, 27 North Park avenue, Waukegan, 
survives.  Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock tomorrow in the Elk's lodge, 
with burial in Pine View Cemetery.
