Former Resident Died at Waukegan
Hugh H. Rogan, 69, Former Resident of Kenosha, Died Monday at Victory Hospital 
in Waukegan.

     Hugh H. Rogan, aged 69 years, for many years a resident of Kenosha 
county, but more recently of Chicago, died late Monday night at the Victory 
Memorial hospital in Waukegan after an illness of several months. His health 
had been poor for the past year; for four weeks he had been at the Sacred 
Heart Sanatarium and later had gone to the home of his sister, Mrs. Thomas 
McCann, near Gurnee. An operation was finally undertaken as a last resort, but 
in his weakened condition he was unable to rally from it.
     The deceased was born in Pleasant Prairie, February 17, 1855, and lived 
his early life in Kenosha county. Forty years ago he went to Helena, Montana, 
where he lived until five years ago, coming at that time to Chicago to work 
and to make his home with his sister, Mrs. A. D’Auben. He is survived by one 
brother, W. M. Rogan, of Kenosha, and by three sisters, Mrs. Sarah Matchette, 
Spokane, Washington, Mrs. A. D’Auben, Chicago, and Mrs. Thomas McCann, Gurnee. 
Another sister, Mrs. John O’Hare, and a brother, Jahn Rogan, preceded him in 
death.
     The funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at Waukegan with high 
requiem mass at the Immaculate Conception church at nine o’clock. Interment 
will follow in the family plot in the St. James cemetery in Kenosha.
