Mr. Sturm has been an invalid for the past several years and last week suffered an attack of pleurisy. In his weakened condition he was unable to tally from this attacked and passed away Wednesday morning. Mr. Sturm was born October 10, 1845 in Ostheim, Alsace Lorraine. He came to America in 1854 and settled in the vicinity of Long Grove where he has made his home for the past seventy-five years. He was a successful farmer, owning and operating his own farm until his failing health forced his retirement when he sold his farm and purchased a home at Aptakisic. Mr. Sturm is preceded in death by his wife who passed away twenty-three years ago. He is survived by one son, George Jr., of Libertyville; two stepsons and one stepdaughter. Tentative funeral arrangements have been made depending on the opening of the roads. It is planned to have the services Saturday afternoon at the home and at Long Grove church. Burial will take place at Long Grove.
