JOHN THOMAS, 82, FORMER ROAD CHIEF, BURIED HERE MONDAY


Funeral services for John Thomas, 82, of Warren, a former township road 
commissioner, were conducted Monday at 2:00 pm in the chapel, 120 W Park ave by 
the Rev. Howard Ganster.  Burial was in Lakeside Cemetery.

Mr. Thomas, a Warren resident for 70 years, died Friday at his home on Riverhill 
rd.  A retired farmer, he had lived in Warren township since moving here with 
his parents, William and Esther Thomas, when he was 12.

He retired as road commissioner about 25 years ago after serving more than 14 
years.

Survivors include his wife, Sara; three sons; two daughters; 16 grandchildren 
and 14 great-grandchildren.
