Woertz and his father, Henry; founded the Glen Rock Bottling Works in 1915 at 834 Glen Rock Ave., next to a ravine where the spring water flowed. Woertz retired in 1960. He and his wife, Myrtle, lived at 2015 North Ave. In addition to his widow he is survived by a son, Raymond of 725 Grand Ave., two daughters, Mrs. Robert Vogel of 728 N Holcomb Drive, Mundelein, and Mrs. Jerome Berens of 620 N Green Bay Road, two sisters, Miss Ann Woertz of 309 N West St., and Mrs. Edwin Holden of the Waukegan Hotel.
