He had been in ill heath for a year and until recently had been residing with his son, Thornton Eager in Earlville. Harry Eager was born June 22, 1878, a sonof John T. and Ella Eager in Meridan Township. He spent his early life in this vicinity and attended Meriden and Mendota schools. He was united in marriage with Evelyn Jose of Jamestown, North Dakota and the couple were the parents of three children. The deceased was prededed in death by his parents, his wife and one brother. Surving him are two sons, Lawrence of Imperial, California and Thornton of Earville and one daughter, Mrs. Mildred Jones of Vacaville, California; 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted yesterday afternoon at 2:30 at Hill's funeral home. The Rev. Barnet Johnson officiated and burial was in the Precinct cemetery. Rites were also conducted at the cemetery by the members of the Shabbona Odd Fellow's lodge of Earlville. Pall bearers were Robert Godfrey, T.A. Dole, T. M. Latimer, Richard G. Humm, E. E.
