Deceased undertook to take down coal that was resting on sprags; his partner, John Kowalski, told him of the danger he was in by doing so, but he did not heed the warning; he proceeded to take down the coal by knocking out the first sprag, the coal fell suddenly, catching him between the coal and the building, breaking three of his ribs and dislocating his hip; he died on the 20th, six days after receiving the injuries. He leaves a widow.
