It was cut out and put into a scrapbook by its original owner. It was later photocopied and given to me in 2002. It is a transcription of this photocopied original with no corrections to its spelling or punctuation. FUNERAL RITES HELD FOR ALBERT POUNDSTONE Funeral services for Albert Poundstone were held at his home near Grand Ridge, Ill., at 1 o'clock and continued at the local Methodist church at 2 o'clock Tuesday, October 21, 1930. The church was filled to capacity with a large assembly of relatives, friends and neighbors. The floral offerings were beautiful and were effectively arranged from one end of the altar to the opposite side forming a bank of flowers and rich foliage. Mrs. E. E. Rodgson, Mrs. F. W. Neuman, Mrs. Henry Wollenhaupt, Mrs. George Wollenhaupt and Mrs. Lulu Campbell had charge of the flowers. Six nephews of the deceased, C. E. Hibbs, W. M. Poundstone, John Offord and Frank Poundstone of Grand Ridge, Harry Poundstone of Clarion, Ia., and Lawrence Poundstone of Francisville, Ind., were the pall-bearers. Rev. Alvin O. Jones, assisted by Rev. B. F. Jacobs and Rev. C. J. Lots of Grand Ridge had charge of the service Three sacred songs were sung by Mrs. E. J. Pitman and Rev. Joshua Read of Streator with Mrs. Reed as piano accompanist. The interment was made in the Grand Ridge cemetery. The relatives from a distance to attend the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Robert W. Poundstone of Fort Collins, Colo., and their eldest son, Bruce Poundstone of Lexington, KY., Harry Poundstone of Clarion, Ia., Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Poundstone of Francisville, Ind., Mrs. Arthur E. Woodward of Fort Dodge, I., William B. Dutton, William Oglevee, Mrs. Joseph Oglevee and little daughter Elaine, and Mrs. E. K. Heyser, all of Uniontown, Fayette county, Pa., and Mrs. Albert Ott and children of Wenona, and Mrs. Elsie Hibbs of Ottawa. Albert Poundstone, the sixth child of David and Rebeka Poundstone, was born in Fayette county, Pa., January 26, 1850, and died at his home near Grand Ridge, Ill., Friday, October 17, 1930, at the age of 80 years. Mr. Poundstone with his father's family came to Illinois in 1860, located on a farm in LaSalle county in the vicinity of Grand Ridge, where he grew to manhood and has since made his home. He was united in marriage to Mary E. Baker, May 31, 1876. His wife preceded him in death, departing this life August 13, 1904. To this union were born two children, Jesse E., who died November 9, 1900, and Robert W. Poundstone of Fort Collins, Colo. On September 9, 1916, Mr. Poundstone was united in marriage to Mrs. Agnes Oglevee of Uniontown, Pa., who still survives him. Of his father's family there is still living one brother, David Poundstone of Grand Ridge. The deceased is also survived by five grandchildren, Bruce Poundstone of Lexington, Ky., Elizabeth, wife of Ross B. Andrews of Fort Collins, Colo., Miriam, wife of Norman D.
