M. in Russell Township, Lawrence County, Illinois. Reading north to south, south side. Row 1: Olive I., daughter of J. M. and K. Gardiner, died February 4, 1651, aged 5 years, 1 month, 18 days. Row 2: Minta V., daughter of J. R. and S. Snapp, died August 5, 1890, aged 16 years 5 months, 22 days. Footstone. Mother, headstone - footstone. Survilla Snapp, bom March 11, 1845, died January 15, 1901, aged 57 years, 10 months, 4 days. "She was a kind and affectionate wife, a fond Mother and a friend to all." Jacob R. Snapp, born September 15, 1839, died April 11, 1904, aged 64 years, 6 months, 25 days. Father headstone. John Baird, died July 22, 1873, aged 55 years, 5 months, 19 days. Snapp, September 8, 1880 – October 11, 1958, Married February 8, 1902 PAGE 627 Barney Tewalt Traveled to Knox County and then to the Tewalt Cemetary in Russelville and made the notations from the headstones. Russelville is just Across the river and border from Knox county Indiana where Abraham and John Lewis Tewalt lived. It appears that many Tewalts may have migrated From Virginia to Indiana, Illinois and possibly Ohio. The Snapps appeared to have traveled with them.
