Lawrence County Illinois Deed Records-FHL #1311700 This Indenture made and entered into this mimeteenth day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty Six between James Callams and Delila his wife of the County of Lawrence and State of Illinois of the first part and Seth Umfleet of the County of Lawrence and State of Illinois of the Second part Witnesseth That the Said James Callams & Delila his wife parties of the first part for and in consideration of the Sum of fifty dollars in hand paid, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, doth hereby grant, bargain, Sell convey and confirm unto the Said part of the Second part his heirs and Assigns forever, the following described tract of land, situated, lying and being in the Palestine District County of Lawrence and State of Illinois, and known and designated on the plat of the United States Surveys of lands, as being the North West quarter of the North East quarter of Section number Two, in Township number three, north of Range number thirteen west, containing thirty Six acres and forty Eigh hundredths of an acre it being the Same tract purchased at the land office at Palestine on the 8th Inst. Together with All and Singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging, or in any wise appertaining. To have and to hold the above described premises unto the Said party of the Second and Delila his wife, the aforesaid premises unto the Said party of the second part his heirs and assigns, against the claim or claims of all and Every person whatsoever, doth and will warrant and forever defend by these presents. In witness the Said parties of the first part have here unto Set their hands and affixed their Seals the day and year first above. Signed Sealed and delivered in presence J. M. McLean James Callams Delila x Callams Recorded Jan'y 1839 This Indenture made and entered unto this Twenty Seventh day of April in the Year of our Lord One thousand Eight hundred and thirty Eight Between Seth Umfhlet and Rebecca his wife of the County of Lawrence and State of Illinois of the first part and Thomas Smith of the County of Lawrence and State of Illinois of the second part Witnesseth that the said Seth Umfhlet and Rebecca his wife parties of the first part for and in considerations of the sum of One Hundred and fifty Dollars in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged doth hereby grant bargain sell convey and confirm unto the party of the Second part his heirs and assigns forever the following described tract of Land situate lying and being in the Palestine district County of Lawrence and State of Illinois and known and designated as the Plat of the United States survey of Lands as being the North West quarter of the North East quarter of section NE two in township number three north of Range number thirteen each containing thirty six acres forty Eight hundreths of an acre it being the same Tract purchased at the land office at Palestine on the 8th of March in the year One thousand Eight hundred and thirty six. Together with all and singular the appertainances thereunto belonging in any wise appertaining. To Have and to hold the above described premises unto the said party of the Second part his heirs and assigns forever and the said Seth Umfhlet and Rebecca his wife the aforesaid premises unto the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns against the claim or claims of all and every person or persons whatsoever. Doth and will warrant and forever defend by these presents.
