Leighty, 83, died at his home south of Lawrenceville yesterday January 26, following a long illness with cancer. Mr. Leighty was the son of Peter and Harriett Leighty and spent practically all his life in Dennison town. He was well and favorably known all over the County. He operated his farm in Dennison town until age and ill health caused him to turn the supervision over to others. He was married to Nancy Jane Gray who preceded him in death eighteen years ago. He and Mrs. Leighty were active members of the Zion Episcopal Church at Zion. Mr. Leighty is survived by four children. They are Mrs. Frank Bray and Mrs. Fern Kirkwood of Lawrenceville; Carson and Guy Leighty of Dennison Town. One brother Lewis Leighty also survives him. Funeral services will be held at the Zion Church Saturday at 2 P.M. with Rev. Batson of Bridgeport in charge. Burial will be at Zion Cemetery.
