Mrs Mary BURCHARD	

Mrs. Mary Burchard died Friday, Feb. 4, (1921) at the Amboy hospital having
been taken there for care about two weeks ago when her daughterm worn out
by the strain of nursing her, became ill herself.  Funeral services were
held at Vaughan's funeral chapel at 2:00 Sunday afternoon, Rev. Joseph
Burrows officiating, and burial was in Prairie Repose cemetery (Amboy).

Mrs. Burchard was born March 5, 1846 in Madison, OH.  She was married July
31, 1863 to Sheldon T. Burchard.  They came to Amboy in 1874 and spent the
remainder fo their lives here.  Mr. Burchard died Sept. 6, 1915.  Two
daughters, Mrs E.M.(Ezra Marsh) Ball of Amboy and Mrs Mabel Wooster of
Marshalltown, IA, with seven grandchildren and six greatgrandchildren,
survive.  One daughter, Pearl, proceeded her in death.
