Eunice Coy Obituary, Lee County, Illinois from the Amboy newspaper 1880 Died, in Amboy, IL, July 31st, 1880, Eunice, wife of Alva Coy, aged 62 years and 11 days. Sister Coy was born in Jackson, Susquehanna Co. PA, July 20th 1818, was converted at fifteen years of age and united with the Methodist Church: was married in the year of 1850 to Ezra M. Ball, and three years after removed to St. Croix Co., WI. She soon became a widow, and then removed to Amboy, IL and in the year 1860, married Alva Coy. Six years after she severed her connection with the Methodist church and united with the Free Methodists. She was taken suddenly with typhoid fever, and after three weeks of intense suffering, death came to her relief. She leaves a husband, a son and daughter (children by previous marriage), and a large circle of relatives and friends to mourn... submitted by Mrs. Anna B.
