Stephenson, Jr., - Historian, Bock Family Association Adam Bock, Sr., was born at Unterjenbach Rein Prussia Germany on January 5, 1851. His grandparents were Henry (died 1853) and Annie Yeagell Bock (died 1873). His father, John Adam Bock, 1811-1881 and his mother, her maiden name was Reagel, all were farmers in Unterjenbach Germany. The mother died in 1868. In 1870, the father, John Adam Bock, with ten of his eleven children came to America, landing in Baltimore. The other child came later. The youngest was only five years old. They went to Waverly, Ohio, where they farmed for 11/2 years. They then came to Logan County, settling near Elkhart. The children were Marie Elizabeth (1837-1913) married Ernest Raber. Henry (1841-1921) married Elizabeth Conrad (1838-1909). Katherine, 1848. Adam (1851-1935) married Louisa Wilmert. Elizabeth (1853-1929) married Gustave Gosda. Charlotte (1857-1946) married Henry Wilmert. John Fred (1859-1920) married Charlotte Schatlo. Jacob (1861). Caroline (1863-1946) married J. Henry Wilmert. Wilnemine (1865-1937) married Adolph Laun. Mr. Bock farmed with his father, then in 1877, he moved to a farm near Lawndale and farmed for himself. On March 22, 1877, he married Louisa Wilmert. The father, John Adam, lived with them until his death in 1881. He was buried in Lawndale Cemetery. In 1891, Mr. Bock purchased a farm in Oran Township, near Beason and farmed there. They were parents of four children: Henry (1878-1961) Katherine Pittenger (1880-1950), Louise (1881-1971) and Adam, Jr., (1884-1973). Mrs. Bock, the mother, died in 1899 at the age of forty-five. Mr. Bock continued to farm until 1910 when he married Anna Richter (1872- 1943) of Reading Pennsylvania. He moved to Lincoln where he resided until his death in 1935. His wife continued to live there until her death in 1943.
